Joseph Cheaney & Sons started its shoes making operations in 1886. Cheaney have made their shoes from cutting to polishing in the same factory since 1896.
Jonathan and William Church, from the famous Church shoe family, conducted a management buy-out of the Cheaney business in 2009 and now own and operate the company. Through their guidance the company continues to produce beautifully crafted benchmade shoes.
Made in England from start to finish their dedicated loyal team of highly skilled craftsmen carry out over 160 separate processes on each shoe which takes eight weeks to complete.
